What Is Islam? Kow The Basics of Islam

The literal worth of Islam is calm; submit of one’s will i.e. trailing oneself for the sake of God and surrendering one’s own pleasure for the pleasure of God. Islam believes that each qualities is intuitive sheer. The Holy Quran tells us that God has given being beings a catalog between good and evil and to obtain God’s pleasure through trust, prayer and charity. Islam believes that God twisted mankind in His image and by imbuing the attributes of God on a creature flat mankind can attain His closeness.

Islam’s foremost point is to worship God and to consider all God’s creation with kindness and compassion. Rights of parents in old age, orphans and the deprived are openly declared. Women’s rights were safeguarded 1,400 years ago when the rest of the world was in overall darkness about emancipation. Islamic tradition include every imaginable spot and its system and principles are rightly entire and have stood the examine of time.

So far you have been learning the basics of Islam. Now it is time to learn about our grea and dear prophet, Muhammad. It is through Muhammad that Allah has completed the Islamic way of life.

No other person in the history of mankind has left so great an impact on the life of his followers as Muhammad, the last and final messenger of Allah. His life is the best example for us to follow. He has shown us how to obey Allah, the lord of the Universe. Allah says in the Quran.

Allah will be pleased with us only if we practice Islam as practiced by Muhammad.
Muhammad’s Duty, according to the Quran, was to make Islam supreme over all other systems of life. IN oother words, you can say that Muhammad’s duty as the final messenger of Allah was to estqablish, the truth and remove falsehood from society. As muslims, we must also work towards the establishment of the supremacy of Allah’s law and the removal lof evil from the society in which we live. Ths is Jihad, whyich we learned from our beloved prophet Muhammad.

Birth and Childhood

Muhammad was born into the noble tribe of the Quranish in Makkha, Arabia, in 571 Chrisian Era. His father Abdullah died before his birth and Aminah, his mother died when he was only six. A few days after his birth he was given to Halimah, who took care of him until he was five years and one month old, when he was returned to the care of his mother. It was the custom of the quranish to give their new born babies to foster mothers for breast feeding.

After the death of his mother, his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, looked after him. From early childhood Muhammad suffered one shock after another. His grandfather died when he was only eight years old. Muhammad was then looked after by his uncle, Abu Talib, a leader of the Quranish and a businessman. The name Muhammad means Praiseworthy.

Islamic Definition
Some basic things of Islam with short definition to make the main thing easier. Hope you will learn these and will read the next series of this post. I will split this post in several series to ease your reading. I have arranged these definitions as per letter order.

Hadith: Reports of Sayings, deeds, and actions approved by prophet Muhammad.

Akhirah
: Life after death. It includes the day of Judgement and the never ending life after death.

Allah
: The proper name of God. Allah is the maker of all creatures. He is just not only god of Muslims but of all human kind.

A'mal
: Actions of deeds.

Amin: The word said after the recitation of Suratul Fatihah or any Dua's to Allah. The word means " Accept our prayer, O Allah".

Arafat: The plain 25KM south east of Makkah where people gather during Hajj.

Arkanul Islam : The five pillars of Islam. Basic duties of Islam.

Asadullah : Lion of Allah. One of the titles of Khalifah Ali.

Sadiq: One of the meaning of title of Prophet Muhammad which means the "Truth".

Siddiq: The title of Khalifah Abu Bakar meaning testifier to the truth.

Ashorah: The tenth day of the first Islamic month, Muharram.
