Zakat is the third base of Islam. It is a divine command ( Foroz) for all the Muslim. Almighty Allah make the Zakat-Ul-Fitr compulsory to all of the rich Muslims. The rule of Zakat Ul Fitr is that, a muslim have to donate 2 and half of his/her total property like money, gold etc among the poor peoples. If anyone wants to donate more than it, he/ she can but it will not be considered as Zakat Ul Fitr.
As the Salat(Prayer), Siam(Fasting) is compulsory to all of the Muslims, almighty Allah also made the Zakat Ul Fitr mandatory for the Muslims. Zakat(Purification) is a big pillar of Islam. It is said as a pillar due to the significance of it, for what the sacrificing and devotees is created in the Muslims.
